Cookie & browser storage policy
Apex uses a small amount of browser storage for requested preferences. Optional external content stays under your control.
Updated October 5, 2026
Essential preferences
The apex-privacy-v1 local storage entry remembers your essential and external-preview choices for 180 days. The apex-motion entry remembers whether you turned animation on or off, until you change it or clear browser storage. These values are stored in your browser and are not used for advertising.
External website previews
The external-preview choice controls live third-party websites embedded in the portfolio. They do not load automatically. If enabled, they load only after you choose to browse the website. They may receive your IP address and browser details and use their own cookies or storage. Their own privacy policies apply. Disabling the preference unloads a currently open external preview; it does not delete storage already set by an external website.
Saved project previews
Some project experiences are locally saved copies of the original files. They may store display preferences, such as detaildash-theme, and include resources or links from the original business. These previews are labeled in the experience. You can use the standalone project link instead if you prefer.
No analytics or advertising cookies
Apex does not currently load an analytics platform, advertising pixel, or behavioral advertising tool. If that changes, this policy and the preference controls must be updated before the new optional tools are enabled.
Change your choice
Use Cookie settings in the footer to change external-preview permission at any time. Your browser also allows you to review and remove stored data. Clearing preferences will make the privacy notice appear again. Essential website functions remain available when optional previews are declined.
